qos uplinks set to 1mbps or lower have no "fair queuing" whatsoever despite using "fq_codel" or even "sfq" which is worse. doesnt matter if using htb or hfsc but hfsc gives out even higher latency than htb, its supposed to be our "latency guaranteed" packet scheduler. currently htb + fq_codel is as good as its getting. this is simple to replicate:

Things you need to configure on DD-WRT BEFORE the script will work: Set your Internet connections upstream and downstream bandwidth on the QoS page of DD-WRT, even if you do not use QoS. The script uses this information to calculate the bandwidth in use percentages and will fail without it. Apr 14, 2011 · DD-WRT. There are lots of models capable of running the software — and more still that have alternate firmware variants of their own — so now might be a good time to read our previous article on the subject. Quality of Service — or QoS — is similar in theory to how many ISPs throttle traffic, but on a local scale. Off the topic is there any reason even at 2.28 and auto update checked in you still have 2.0 QOS DB dated 2015. instead of V4.0 dated 2017. As there are more than few keep reporting the QOS tends to broke at certian instances and no more priority and live traffic. does anyone have any tips for changing settings on a dd-wrt router for better gaming performance? Im now reading that DDWRT's QOS isn't so great and Tomato

The only reason I even brought up QoS was because there was no other way to do such a thing in dd-wrt. With tomato, I was able to achieve my goal, which was creating a guest wifi that had max bandwidth caps. dd-wrt, unfortunately, couldn't do this without severely gimping my main network's speed.

Sep 20, 2013 · Today we set up QOS on our dd-wrt router to prioritize bandwidth per device or service. I personally use this for magicjack so my phone calls don't cut out on me while browsing the internet. DD About. DD-WRT is a Linux based alternative OpenSource firmware suitable for a great variety of WLAN routers and embedded systems. The main emphasis lies on providing the easiest possible handling while at the same time supporting a great number of functionalities within the framework of the respective hardware platform used. There seems to be a problem by using PPTP and QoS at the same time. If you use DD-WRT with enabled PPTP server and want to activate QoS for the WAN interface then you are no longer able to connect to the PPTP server from your LAN. PPTP, L2TP and IPSec Passthrough also doesn't work. The problem is reproducible on a WRT54GL 1.1 with DD-WRT v24-sp1.

With that being said, is it possible to modify DD-WRT to implement the features from Ruby in this forum: Our goal at FlashRouters is to offer the best possible networking experience and service to each and every customer, all while promoting the benefits of using DD-WRT & Tomato open-source firmware. We are here to help users understand and embrace the benefits of cutting edge VPN technology to secure and protect their privacy and personal data. DD-WRT may be older than Tomato, but Tomato outperforms DD-WRT in a number of areas. For one, you get better Open VPN support with Tomato compared to DD-WRT, and this means that you can push anonymity to new heights with Tomato as your custom firmware. As Tomato lets you easily connect to VPNs much easily, it wins the battle when it comes to VPN. qos uplinks set to 1mbps or lower have no "fair queuing" whatsoever despite using "fq_codel" or even "sfq" which is worse. doesnt matter if using htb or hfsc but hfsc gives out even higher latency than htb, its supposed to be our "latency guaranteed" packet scheduler. currently htb + fq_codel is as good as its getting. this is simple to replicate: In this little presentation I show you how I use DD-WRT on my old router for bandwidth shaping in my lab. Many times I have to run applications through 'slow links' for my clients and this is a I've been using DDWRT and QoS since the WRT54GL days so I'm not completely new to this. My line is 500/15 and QoS bandwidth limit is properly set to -10% of that. It behaves perfectly fine and as expected on r40784 (which I used when making a screenshot) and older builds. By as expected I mean if I completely saturate my line with torrent
