My problem is that I run everything through a switch and the router is the only thing guaranteed to see every outgoing packet. It is a Buffalo router flashed to use DD-WRT.
I don't know if I need a packet sniffer or what - remembering that there's no computer between the modem and the access point, just the router and I can't find any 3rd party firmware that does this. The firmware in the router records historical totals of downloads etc, but doesn't break them down by device / IP address, just the aggregate total
